The neighbourhood of Joo Chiat has a temporary visitor in the form of a Louis Vuitton X Murakami Singapore pop-up. Pop by to see the collab collection in the retail space where you can shop for products like the colourful Monogram Multicolore, the whimsical Superflat Panda, and the Superflat Garden. With every purchase, you’ll also get a vending machine token to win limited edition gifts like stickers and Tamagotchis.

Apart from shopping, enjoy a brand film in the cosy cinema space or head to the cafe to grab a drink in a specially designed cup. Plus, if you’ve got an original LV that requires repair services, they offer to replace parts and clean it up too.

Starting this year, Movies by the Beach at Sentosa has found a new venue – Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden. What remains the same is that it’s still free for all to show up and enjoy. Bring your own blanket or cushions and gather the family for movie screenings over the weekends, starting at 7pm. This week, they’ll be showing 2 beloved animations – Frozen 2 on 11th January and Alice in Wonderland on 12th January.

5. Lost Arts Found

As part of comma Arts Festival 2025, Lost Arts Found is an initiative to – as the name suggests – rediscover vanishing trades. In a bid to get the newer generations to appreciate traditional arts like rattan weaving, Chinese opera, and Peranakan beading, there are free workshops one can sign up for and learn more.

6. Resurrack Vintage Market

8. Alternate Reality

9. Esplanade free shows

There are a slew of free events happening at Esplanade all the time. On 10th Jaunary, catch an alt-indie band perform live at the Outdoor Theatre. The entire weekend will also see multiple flamenco dance performances at the Concourse, including an interactive session where you get to show off your moves. Also, check out the independent artists such as Noah Corolla and Sam Vishal showcasing their original songs on stage.

10. Yee I-Lann: Mansau-Ansau & Pratchaya Phinthong: No Patents on Ideas

If you still haven’t been to SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, you must. And now you’ve got a reason because the museum has 2 new exhibitions. Yee I-Lann: Mansau-Ansau follows the artist’s 2 decade-long journey of discovery and creation, featuring artworks made from photo collages, silk and batik, as well as bamboo pus and pandanus.

A Bangkok-based artist presents Pratchaya Phinthong: No Patents on Ideas, an exhibition that examines the cultural and economic systems of modern life. Expect to see video installations, a mesmerising ceiling projection, and even a piece made from film strips.

11. Seeing Forest by Robert Zhao Renhui

SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark also sees the return of Seeing Forest by Robert Zhao Renhui after it was recently presented in Venice at Biennale Art 2024. The exhibition revolves around the artist’s observation of secondary forests that have regrown from deforested land. Through his lens, see how SG’s landscape has evolved to its current urban state.

12. Altered States: Experiments in Moving

Our beloved ArtScience Museum has a new limited time exhibition with only $5 entry. Altered States: Experiments in Moving features local and international filmmakers presenting artworks that reimagine what moving images could be using cameraless techniques. These exhibits will challenge our typical interpretation of films and offer new perspectives of seeing and understanding the moving image.

13. Disney Garden of Wonder

14. The Art of Banksy
